It is a quick and very easy recipe to make without much effort. Goat liver is considered to be a good source of vitamins. Its really good for kids. This is again my amma’s /mom recipe, I told you before also she makes non-veg too good. Enjoy this simple and full filling meal, try this out easy recipe with step by step cooking pictures follows.
How to Make Mutton Liver Fry – Kerala Style Karal Varattiyathu
Cut mutton liver into small cube size pieces, Soak it with vinegar and little turmeric powder for 15 mins. Then wash it well in running water 4-5 times and drain it using a strainer, so that excess water and blood drains out. Transfer it to a bowl and marinate liver with kashmiri chilly powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder and salt. Keep it for 20 mins.
Heat oil in deep bottom pan, splutter mustard seeds and curry leaves.
Add chopped ginger and garlic and saute it for a min in a medium flame, then add chopped onions and green chilly. Saute it until onions turns brown.
Now add in marinated mutton liver, stir it well and add 1 cup water and allow it cook for 15 mins.
Add garam masala powder, fennel powder and sprinkle some pepper powder. Adjust salt at this level. Combine well and stir it for 5 mins more in a medium low flame. Serve it along with rice, chappathi etc.
