Hi Foodies, Today I am sharing to you a very easy and yummy recipe that is Dry Fish Chutney or Unnakkameen chammanthi podichathu. Its a very tasty chutney with very few ingredients. This dish prepare with salted dry fish, after soaking in water for 30 mins. Then fry it in oil and grind together along with all ingredients. Dry fish chutney really goes well with rice. How to Make Dry Fish Chutney- Unnakkameen Chammanthi Podichathu
Make all ingredients ready and keep it aside.
Soak the dry fish pieces in water for 30 minutes to remove over salt and drain the fish. Then marinate fish pieces with kashmiri chilly powder and turmeric powder, keep it for 15 minutes. Now heat a frying pan with oil and fry fish pieces until it is crisp.Remove from oil and drain on a kitchen towel.
Add all of the ingredients into a blender except dry fish and blend until combines well, not allow to grind it finely.
Now add the fried dry fish and coarsely ground.
Add salt after checking only, usually dry fish has enough salt. Serve it along with rice.
