Pasta is a staple food of traditional Italian cuisine. Pasta is generally a very simple dish, but comes in many varieties due to it versatility. Typically its a noodle made from an unleavened dough of flour mixed with water to formed into various shapes, then cooked by baking or boiling. Pasta is generally served with some type of sauce.
Pasta dishes are served as first course in Italy because the portion sizes are small and simple. Pasta sauces are vary in taste, texture and color. Tomato puree are common for meat and vegetables, but they are perhaps best known as sauces for pasta dishes.
Continuing with that authentic recipe, today I bring you this most basic recipe for pasta with sausage, tomatoes, with a white sauce blend with tomato puree and with some Italian pasta seasoning. If you want you can add shrimp, chicken and veggies like capsicum, mushrooms etc.
How to Make Italian Style Pasta Recipe- Creamy Tomato Pasta
Cook pasta with plenty of water, along with salt. Drain out and keep it aside.
Heat up a pan on medium low heat and pour olive oil. Then add in finely chopped garlic and onions. Mix well and saute for a couple of minutes.
Add in tomatoes and chopped sausage. Mix well and saute if for 3-4 minutes.
Add pasta seasoning ( herbs) , sprinkle pepper powder and salt. Mixwell and cook for one more minute. Transfer the mixture in a dish and keep it aside.
Heat a sauce pan on a medium flame and add 1 tbsp butter. Add garlic paste and saute it for a minute.
Add plain flour and combine well and stir it for a minute. Keep on stirring and add milk little by little.
Add tomato puree and adjust salt. Allow it to simmer for 3 minutes.
Add milk if its very thick, now add in sugar, butter and grated cheese.
Add cooked pasta, add in pepper powder and pasta herbs.
Add in cooked sausage mix and combine well. Cook for couple of minutes and serve hot.
