A great dish for breakfast, but really perfect anytime to satisfy an egg craving. A little something tasty, quick that make our tummies and taste buds happy. It’s more nutritious, and it’s often substantiallly cheaper than what you find in the store as snacks. I always try to add a little cheese to my kid’s egg breakfast recipes. Egg with cheese bread toast are such a perfect breakfast staple. It taste just as good as it looks. Traditionally baked eggs in toast are made on the stove top. Rather than multi task and make the eggs and toast separately, I merged them altogether in one recipe with cheese egg toast made in oven. Make these yummy egg cheese toast for party starter, evening snacks and serve them with your favorite dip. I always often make it as party appetizer or snack for kids.
Tips- You can add more or less cheese according to your preference. You can even mix some more veggies and even cooked sausages in cheese mixture. I have used mozzarella cheese in this recipe, you can use cheddar cheese too. Also in place of whole wheat bread you can use white bread or multi grain bread. You can make these toasts ahead of time and bake them later too.

Keep bread sliced in braking tray, after greasing with butter or oil. Here I have used a butter paper.
Using a teaspoon, press down firmly creating a sharp edge and form a rectangle shape. Repeat for other slices of bread too.
Brush all part of the bread slices with melted butter.
Season bread slices with salt and pepper. Sprinkle salt and pepper powder evenly. Then add chopped capsicum.
Crack an egg into the bread rectangle carefully, trying hard not to break the yolk. But my yolks got broken, sad. Don't worry, this rectangle will fit the egg nicely. Sprinkle your grated cheese on top.
Place it on a preheated oven and cook for about ten minutes in 160 degree C watching carefully to ensure it doesn't burn and that the egg is cooked.
