In a bowl sift all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside for later use. 


In a large mixing bowl add softened butter and sugar, whip on until foamy and smooth, add milk too. Then add in the room temperature 3 egg yolks and blend nicely.

Add vanilla essence and combine well. Add flour little by little and combine very slowly in circular motion with a spatula or whisk.

In another bowl, add 3 egg whites, using a electric mixer blend well until creamy. 


Transfer creamy egg whites to the cake batter and mix very slowly.

Pour the batter into a greased baking tin, the batter will not be too thick.

Bake in a preheated oven for 35- 40 mins in 175 degree C or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
