This mango frooti drink is really juicy and fresh. It will take hardly 10-15 minutes to make this drink, you can make it in advance and store in fridge or freeze them for further use. Tips- For perfect taste and sweetness, take a combo of 3 ripe mango and 1 raw mango.( 3:1) It can be stored for 3-4 days in fridge. Use mangoes without much fibre content like alphonso or kesar. Will taste exactly like frooti, maaza and slice. It you want you can pressure cook both raw mango and ripe mangoes along with sugar, then pureed to smooth paste.
How to Make Mango Frooti- Homemade Mango Frooti Recipe- Mango Summer Drink
Remove skin from mangoes and cut into chunks, set aside
Add sugar in a sauce pan and add slightly warm water.( around 750 ml) Stir until sugar dissolves. Allow it to boil for 2 minutes.
Meanwhile add raw mangoes in a blender and pour 1/4 cup water, grind until it turn smooth and pulpy.
On the same blender add ripe mangoes and blend until pulpy. While grinding make sure there are no pieces left.
Now the sugar has dissolves well, reduce the flame and add a pinch of salt and lemon juice. Then pour mango paste and stir well.
Stir continuously while adding mango puree, then pour remaining water and combine well.
Let it boil and stir at regular intervals. Stir and boil for 5-7 minutes. Taste frooti at this stage,if needed add sugar as per your sweetness. If it is so thick add water accordingly. Switch off the stove and let it cool down to room temperature.
Mango has lot of fibres, so it is necessary to strain it.
Mango frooti is ready, refrigerate for 5-7 hours and serve chilled.
